Teaser Trailer: The Tibetan Dog New Anime Film
Japanese movie website Cinema Today has streamed a 108 second trailer for an upcoming anime movie called Tibetan Dog on Friday. The trailer features its theme song “Echoes” by a female Tibetan-Chinese singer named Alan Dawa Dolma.
Directed by Masayuki Kojima, this collaborative Japanese/Chinese production story is about a young boy from the city who has to suddenly move to Tibet. The film focuses on the beautiful environment of Tibet and the young boy’s meeting with a large, golden-haired Tibetan dog.
Shigeru Fujita adapted the original character designs, that were created by Monster and the mangaka of 20th Century Boys,Naoki Urasawa, for the animation. The film will be out in Japan theaters on January 7, 2012.
Even though it’s aimed at a younger audience, I think this movie actually looks really good. keep an eye out for it because the animation looks incredibly beautiful. For some reason, I find the design of the dog to look funny, it looks as if it’s a cross bread between a lion and a dog, since it seems like it has a mane.
