Christmas is coming and it’s hard to shop for friends and family being a teen. First off, money is hard to come by if you aren’t working and if you’ve managed to save a few bucks and need some easy ideas for gifts, check this out!
Gifts for mom and dad:
Pictures. Your parents will never ever turn away a photo of you! It doesn’t have to be fancy and it doesn’t have to be professional. Snap a few shots of yourself, print them out using photo paper and a household printer and wam! Half done already. If you want to purchase some frames you can get cheap ones from major retail stores. If you’d rather be crafty, try making frames. Pick up some frame mats (they can be found at craft stores, ask around if you aren’t sure what they are) and then you can paint, draw or just decorate them however you’d like! These make great ideas for grandparents too! What about a fun coffee mug for mom or a silly tie for dad? There are many inexpensive choices out there!
Gifts for siblings:
If you’re stuck on what to buy consider a gift card to their favorite store, that way, they can pick out the perfect gift! Don’t forget that places like ITunes and some of our favorite yogurt store offer gift cards too! Looking for something else? Try a jewelry box for girls and nurf guns for guys- even your older brother would use a nurf gun! What about that itty bitty sibling of yours? Try some fun toys or stacking cups. Your parents will be able to direct you in the best direction for toys for younger kiddos!
Need some gift ideas that you can make? What about knitting or crocheting a scarf or a hat? They are super easy to do, once you have the basics down. You can pick up all the supplies you need at your local craft store and often times find step by step instructions. If you have supplies (or maybe a mom or grandma does?) simply google for free patterns. They shouldn’t take you more than a few hours to make. If you want to get even more creative, try some fun mittens! Check out sites like cafepress.com to make personalized gifts everything from shirts to tote bags!
It’s not too late to make homemade gifts for friends and family, but don’t wait too much longer!!
