Tara Strong Says “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” Finale Is Fabulous
I am a huge fan of a few cartoons that originated back in the 1980’s and My Little Pony is one of them. The characters have never really gone away over the last few decades and the television show itself returned to television in 2010 to rave reviews. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is about to wrap up its third season on American pay channel, HUB and according to leading voice actress, Tara Strong, the season finale is fabulous. She has an absolutely jam packed resume and has voiced some of the industry’s most beloved cartoon characters.
Tara is currently lending her voice to Twilight Sparkle, one of the ponies lead characters and she teases that the season finale will be fabulous.
“[Twilight Sparkle] finally gets rewarded for her good deeds by this amazing growth and transformation. The ending’s pretty spectacular. When you first hear My Little Pony, you think it’s for little girls, but it’s not for little girls. It’s literally a show families can sit down and watch. There’s nothing that you can say, ‘I’m not going to let my kid watch that.'”
Perhaps the only odd thing about this show is the fact that it doesn’t just appeal to its intended demographic. There is a group of middle aged men that refer to themselves as “Bronies”. After accidentally stumbling onto the show this morning I have a hard time understanding what exactly would appeal to a grown man. I get that parents love it because it ultimately uses its’ time to set a good example for how children and people in general should treat each other. But grown men? That creeps me out a bit!
Are you a My Little pony fan? Will you be watching the season finale today? Tell us in the comments below!
Bronies are really a pain in the ass.
