Project Yellow Light is an endeavor to raise awareness surrounding an issue in contemporary society: texting while driving. Texting while driving not only puts yourself at risk, but also the lives of others, and we assure you . . . whatever comes buzzing on your phone while you’re in the car, well, it can wait.
Here’s a little bit more about the project, and then we’ll tell you how you can vote for your fave student-created PSA:
Project Yellow Light is a scholarship competition designed to bring about change. High school and college students from across the country were invited to submit a video designed to motivate, persuade and encourage their peers to not drive distracted. Three winners were picked from both high school and college submissions (six total) to receive a college scholarship. In addition, the first place winning videos from both competitions were turned into official Ad Council PSAs.
