Emma Watson Didn’t Realize She Was A Big Star Until She Joined Brown University
Emma Watson covers the latest issue of Teen Vogue magazine, promoting both The Bling Ring and This Is The End, and she discusses her views on fame and public attention.
In the interview, Emma reveals that she never really thought of herself as famous before she joined Brown University. She claims, “I think, in a way, I was very protected during Harry Potter, because I was working all the time. I would get in the car, go to the studio, and go home.”
She adds that everything changed once she joined Brown, explaining, “It sounds stupid, or completely unbelievable, but that was when I really realized that I was famous. There are still days when I deal with [fame] horribly and there are days when I deal with it really well.”
By and large, Emma has handled the fame and attention very well. She’s become the poster girl for A-list child stars growing up well, with a strong education, and she’s set a very good example for all those young girls out there.

She seems so nice and such a nice role model, she could teach young celebs a thing or two.
do you believe that?
I’m not really liking this picture of her. Her head looks to tall, like an alien.
How many Harry Potters were under her belt when she went to Brown? I call BS, Emma.
The cover shot isn’t the most flattering, she can look prettier than that!

She is trying to be modest.
Who knows, maybe she really was that sheltered.
I like the way she’s handled fame, hasn’t let it get to her head or so it seems.
She is a great actress, can’t wait to see what she wants to do next.
She is a pretty girl.
I love that they didn’t airbrush out her freckles – she’s so cute!
She must have noticed before then!
I wish I could pull this hairstyle off.
