Ryan Beatty visited Animal Haven in Soho (Photos)
17-year-old singing sensation Ryan Beatty, in partnership with DoSomething.org’s Pics for Pets campaign, visited Animal Haven in Soho on Tuesday, July 16th to help save shelters pets in the NYC area. He took great photos of the animals to share on PicsforPets.org and across social media to help find the shelter pets a new home.
Below are some highlights from Ryan’s interview:
Can you tell us more about your favorite pets that you met today?
I’m definitely a dog person. There were these two puppies that I fell in love with from the start. If I were in New York, I would adopt them. It’s heartwarming to see the dogs that didn’t necessarily have a great past, like Kitty the dog who got hit by a car, getting back to a great life. What was your favorite part in participating in Pics for Pets?
I always love working with Do Something and being able to share with all of my fans on Twitter great things for them to help out with. Being a part of the Pics for Pets campaign was great because I’m a huge animal lover. Seeing the reactions after posting it on Twitter, people wanted to get involved.
It’s pretty easy to get involved in Pics for Pets. All you have to do is go to any local animal shelter and take an awesome picture of any animal of your choice and upload it to PicsforPets.org—it’s pretty much a Facebook for pets, and let’s be honest that’s pretty awesome. I’m excited to see what people submit, I’m excited already seeing how passionate my supporters are for it.
