DisneyNature’s Newest Film “Bears” Out in April 2014 (VIDEO)
Have you heard of DisneyNature? Everyone knows about Disney and their classic movies and theme parks that have become a staple in childhoods across the world, but has anyone heard how Disney has been trying to give back? Let me tell you about it!
Thousands of kids grow up with little to no understanding of their environment or the changes in both climate and human alike have created within it. In lack of a better phrase they tend stop short of informational and choose instead to watch lovable cartoons. So the corporation known as the happiest place on earth, Disney has decided to give parents a helping hand. Their officially statement is – Explore the world through DisneyNature’s collection of movies, video, photo galleries, and educational materials. Immediately the word educational has kids turning away but the collection of media has I dare say it made learning fun. Launched in 2008 it has already done tremendous work.
For instance DisneyNature will be releasing their newest movie “Bears” in April 2014.
“In an epic story of breathtaking scale, DisneyNature’s upcoming True Life Adventure “Bears” showcases a year in the life of a bear family as two impressionable young cubs are taught life’s most important lessons. Set against a majestic Alaskan backdrop teeming with life, their journey begins as winter comes to an end and the bears emerge from hibernation to face the bitter cold. The world outside is exciting—but risky—as the cubs’ playful descent down the mountain carries with it a looming threat of avalanches. As the season changes from spring to summer, the brown bears must work hard to find food—ultimately feasting at a plentiful salmon run—while staying safe from rival male bears and predators, including an ever-present wolf pack. “Bears” captures the fast-moving action and suspense of life in one of the planet’s last great wildernesses—Alaska!”
Bears will be the seventh movie released from the company. The first four DisneyNature films, “Earth,” “Oceans,” “African Cats” and “Chimpanzee,” are four of the top five highest overall grossing feature-length nature films to date, with “Chimpanzee” garnering a record-breaking opening weekend for the genre.
Not only do your children learn more about the wilderness they’re taught about the integral part they must play as well. Through donations from opening weekend Disney has created Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund. Through it they have reestablished acres of wildlife and replanted thousands of trees. They also use the fund to help children learn, in classrooms this time, about protecting the natural habitat of many endangered creatures.
