Bongo and Vanessa Hudgens Kick-Off the Holidays by Recycling Denim for Charity
It’s that time of year! Celebrities and brands are joining forces to help charities give back this season.
Actress and current face of Bongo, Vanessa Hudgens, kicks off the holiday gift giving season by recycling over 100 pieces of denim and donating $10,000 to Blue Jeans Go Green™ on behalf of Bongo. Vanessa looked super festive in a Bongo red jumpsuit, while playfully posing in front of a denim wall with an over-sized check made out to the company.
All denim seen in the image and more were contributed to the Blue Jeans Go Green™ denim recycling program. Created by Cotton Incorporated in 2006, the program is a call-to-action to give old denim “new” life by recycling it into natural cotton fiber insulation.
Denim collected across the country through Blue Jeans Go Green™ is converted into UltraTouch™ Denim Insulation, and a portion of it is distributed to help communities in need each year. Historically, homes built by Habitat for Humanity affiliates have been primary recipients of the insulation.
