The Best Dress Style for Your Body Shape
Many of us women have figure flaws we are not happy with. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t tuck away those flaws. When you are in search of a dress, you want to think about the body type that you have when making your choice and think of the best dress styles for your body shape.
Full hips – If you have fuller hips and thighs, your body shape is pear-shaped. You want to choose a dress that is about two inches above your knees, comes with an A-line skirt and has a plunging, embellished or halter top neckline so it draws attention from your hips and thighs.
Thick waist – Apple body shapes have a thick middle area. It is for this reason that you need to choose a dress that makes your torso look longer so the attention is drawn away from your waist. You should choose a dress that has a drop waist or an empire waist.
Heavy arms – For women with heavy arms, you want to steer clear of dresses that are sleeveless and instead choose dresses that have full length, ¾ or bell sleeves.
Small chest – Some of us women are not equipped with large breasts and if you are one of these women, avoid dresses that have plunging necklines. You should instead choose a dress with a scoop neck or dresses that have embellishments such as sequins on the chest area.
Large chest – For those women with ample sized breasts, you want to choose dresses that accentuate your bustline line such as those with plunging necklines or halter top styles. You don’t want to choose dresses that are made from materials that hug your body since this will make your breasts appear too large.
Plus size – If you are a plus-sized woman, you don’t want to choose dresses that are baggy since these will actually make you appear larger. You also don’t want dresses that hug your body. Instead, you want dresses that drape elegantly on your body. You also want dresses with bold colors or lots of prints.
Very thin – Thin women look great in knit or sweater dresses. If you have thin legs, steer clear of dresses like mini-skirts and instead opt for long dress that flow.
