Self-Tanning Lotions That Won’t Turn Your Skin Orange

Self-Tanning Lotions That Won't Turn Your Skin Orange

Some self-tanning lotions do cause your skin to turn a shade of orange. In some cases it is just a poor combination of chemicals in the product itself. In other cases, it is a reaction between your pH composition and the chemicals. There are products available that will not make you look orange, and those are the ideal lotions to use – in moderation of course.

Olay Total Effects Gradual Sunless Tanner

Olay has created this self-tanner that moisturizes your skin at the same time. This self-tanner works to balance your skin’s natural tones so that areas that already have a slight tan won’t have uneven areas.

Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder Mist

Using a mist is one of the best ways to achieve an even application of a self-tanner. This particular brand goes on in a very light mist. It will not clog your pores or make your skin feel greasy. One of the benefits is that you will see the results of the application immediately rather than waiting for the color to develop.

When selecting a self-tanning product, it is ideal to find options that help keep your skin healthy while giving you a healthy looking, natural glow. Chemical-based products can damage your skin. It is ideal to select products that do not contain artificial tinting ingredients as these can leave your skin with an orange hue rather than golden brown.

Thanks for this list! Every self tanner I’ve tried so far has either made me orange or was so streaky it was obvious.

I do love the improvements that have come with these kinds of tanners. I had one but left it before I got to use it. Boo
