Tips and Tricks You Need to Know about Lipstick
Lipstick trends change frequently. It’s hard to keep up with them all sometimes. The ideal strategy when it comes to applying lipstick is to select a color that complements your skin tone and eyes first and foremost. Forget about color trends, as it’s likely that these trends aren’t all going to fit your personal style or overall look.

Condition your Lips First
Some lipsticks are rather dry or are constructed to be more of a lip stain than a lipstick. For this purpose, conditioning your lips is ideal. The conditioner helps prevent these dry lipsticks and stains from damaging your lips. The dryness can lead to cracking and chapping, both of which are painful. To condition your lips, you can use something as simple as a moisturizing chapstick.
Use a Complementing Lip Liner
Use a lip liner that is one shade darker than the color of your lips. This helps create dimension and definition. Using dark lip lining products can easily turn into a disaster as the lipstick wears off but the liner remains.
When applying the lip liner, use just a touch of foundation or lip moisturizer to blend the lines into your lip to prevent these lines from showing.
Don’t Apply Too Much
When you’re ready to apply the lipstick, don’t overdo it. Too many swipes of the stick can leave your lip’s skin clogged, heavy feeling and unhealthy. Go across the top and bottom lip twice and then blend them together. This will give you an even application that is just right.
