Cinderella

Cinderella was released in 1950 and tells the tale of Cinderella, a dreamer who is enslaved by her evil stepmother and two stepsisters. Her dream is to attend the gala ball and meet the Prince. Her dreams end up coming true, with the help of her fairy Godmother and a handful of mice friends. The movie is based on the French fairy tale by Charles Perrault of the same name.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Disney’s first full-length animated movie and was released in 1937. Snow White was the original Disney princess, a stunning young princess who was born with skin as white as snow, lips as red as roses and hair as black as ebony. Snow White’s evil stepmother, the Evil Queen, wants Snow Dead because she is jealous of her beauty. Snow White runs away and ends up in the home of seven hard-working dwarfs.

The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid was released in 1989 and features a mermaid, Ariel. Ariel wants nothing more than to be human so she can fall in love with Prince Eric. She becomes human with the help of a sea witch but she can’t talk. Prince Eric has three days to kiss her or she will belong to the sea witch Ursula. Ariel is one of seven daughters of King Triton and she is a princess in an underwater kingdom. Ariel dons bright red hair, a green tail and lavender seashell bra and she is fierce, independent and bold.

Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast was released in 1991 and showcases the story of a prince who becomes a beast and Belle, a young woman he keeps captive in his castle. The only way that he can become prince once again is to make Belle fall in love with him. While Belle is a prisoner, she is also headstrong, smart, independent and courageous.

Aladdin

Aladdin was released in 1992 and follows the tale of Aladdin, a common thief who duped by Jafar into stealing a lamp from the home of a powerful Genie. Aladdin quickly realizes that Genie has the ability to help him win his true love, Princess Jasmine. Jasmine is a woman who doesn’t like to be told what to do and is confident, fierce and bold.
