Mostache and Karen Unger – No, this doesn’t tell your teen where to actually sit at lunch, well it does but that is not the focus of the book. The book provides teens with answers to common questions they may have throughout high school, including dealing with parents, making friends, time management, and test-taking techniques.

Surviving High School: Making the Most of the High School Years by Mike Riera– I tell you I wish they had a book like this when I was in high school. With all the changes going on at that time, I was overwhelmed and confused. However, now there is a book that is written in a lively format and a hip-tone that teens can relate to.

    My oldest has 2 years before he heads off to high school. I will have to get him one of these next year to help him prepare.

    This is great. I don’t have teenagers yet, but I do have a son who seems to struggle socially, I’m sure the teen years and high school will be just as difficult if not more.

    I could have used some of these books when I was entering high school. It’s an exciting and scary time, but books like the ones listed can really help.

    I wish I’d had books like this myself but even more for my kids at this age. One of my sons worked himself up so much that he missed almost the first full week.
