Is Prince William a snob? Apparently his brother, the man formerly known as Prince, Harry thinks so.
In the book Finding Freedom, Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie report that Harry was offended when “snobby” William told him not to rush things with Meghan Markle. And we all know how that went.
Why William would be considered snobby to caution against rash behavior is beyond me, but that’s how Harry interpreted the advice apparently.

The Times and The Sunday Times are printing excerpts of the pompously titled book ahead of its August 11 release date. This is what it says William told Harry: “Take as much time as you need to get to know this girl.”
Nothing wrong there. Except that Harry reportedly thought the phrase “this girl” was condescending. Yet another example of why Harry is being called overly sensitive by royal watchers familiar with his behavior.
The book goes on, “In those last two words, ‘this girl,’ Harry heard the tone of snobbishness that was anathema to his approach to the world. During his ten-year career in the military, outside the Royal bubble, he had learned not to make snap judgments about people based on their accent, education, ethnicity, class, or profession.” Harry was educated by Professor Henry Higgins?
Keep in mind that the book was written to show the “real” side of the couple, and they seemed to approve of the book before not approving of the book. Maybe because they now realize how ridiculous their realness actually is?

Do palace aides fear the book of Harry and Meghan’s grievances will make the royals look bad?
Other scintillating and illuminating excerpts include tidbits about Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle having little in common, that the two couples hardly talked at the March Commonwealth service and that Harry and Meghan felt their complaints (whines?) were not taken seriously by the royals.
But wait, there’s more! They did not cotton to having to operate under Buckingham Palace’s umbrella and the pair considered breaching protocol by barging in on the Queen when she told them to wait a hot second before coming over.
It may surprise one to discover that Harry is 35 and Meghan is 38, because based on their antics they sound like bratty teens being told no—expect a tantrum and righteous indignation to follow. No wonder they are distancing themselves all of a sudden from the book’s version of their real selves.
