Both families are part of the Medic Corps organization, who are providing assistance to those affected by natural disasters, such as Hurricane Laura. Medic Corps Volunteers
On the official Instagram account for Medic Corps, they often post updates of what they are doing to help those affected by natural disasters and other crises. They also share photos of their volunteers, which have included the Duggar kids, such as Jana, James, Jason, and John. The cast of Bringing Up Bates is also part of the same organization.
Helping Those Affected by Hurricane Laura
Both the Duggar and Bates families are working with Medic Corps to help out those affected by Hurricane Laura. When the hurricane slammed into Louisiana and Texas, Medic Corps volunteers headed out to the impacted areas.

Jason Duggar and Lawson Bates have both revealed that they are in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Plus, the Medic Corps Instagram page posted,
“Our teams are on the ground mobilized and pushing inward from the eastern and northern sides of Lake Charles, Louisiana, toward the most devastated area.”

Bringing Up Bates and Counting On Stars Help Out
On Instagram, Jason shared a few videos of the work they are doing to help the communities that have been devastated by the catastrophic hurricane. He wrote,
“Arrived in Louisiana early this morning with a volunteer team from @mediccorps to help with #HurricaneLaura relief. Working today in the devastated Lake Charles area clearing debris and helping wherever we can! We brought a bunch of equipment down to clear roads and assist people in need. If you’d like to get involved and help make all of this possible, there’s a link in my bio! Please continue to pray for all those affected.”
As for Lawson, he posted a video and asked everyone to pray for those affected. It’s great that so many people are working together to help those affected by Hurricane Laura. Fans are grateful for Lawson Bates and Jason Duggar pitching in and doing their part to help the communities devastated by the catastrophic storm.
