ABC General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will make a decision this week. She will decide how to lure her twin, Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes) to Port Charles!
GH Updates – Anna Devane & Valentin Cassadine Struck On A Deal
General Hospital viewers will recall from a recent episode that Anna and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) struck on a deal to bring down Alex. Anna had gotten a call from her sister a few weeks back, and Alex had wanted Anna to come to Berlin so she could turn herself in. Alex had said she was tired of running and had sounded very distressed. Anna’s fiancé, Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) had nixed the idea of Anna running to Germany when they were in the midst of planning their wedding.
Anna contacted her old friend Valentin, who at the time was busy and had to decline going to Berlin in her place. However, they discussed it again and Valentin had performed some limited intel. He told Anna it was a good thing she didn’t go because his contact had told him that Alex wanted her dead! Anna and Valentin go back to spy school when he was known as Ivan Theodore, a hunchback who had a huge crush on Anna. He later had an affair with Alex, thinking she was Anna, and for good reason.
Alex had once been brainwashed to believe she was Anna, and the memory transfer procedure the two were subjected to was probably part of it too. But she did, as “Anna” seduce Valentin into giving her the Chimera Project, and for that, he could not forgive her as well as for other things she did in Port Charles.
General Hospital Spoilers – Alex Marick Has Been On The Run For Various Crimes
Alex, although she started out as a DVX agent has been on the run for various crimes, one of which was the assault of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). This is when Valentin and Nina were still together so that is another unforgivable offense as far as he is concerned. She also bugged his watch when she pinned Nina to a table! Not long afterward she got in a fight with Anna – she was put in prison and then escaped not long afterward. She trespassed into the Port Charles Police Department interrogation room to see Valentin, then fled.
She was caught again and imprisoned in Steinmauer Prison, supposedly impossible to break out of, but she escaped again! She’s been on the run ever since. She told Valentin that they will have to lure Alex to Port Charles, and now she believes she has thought of a way to do it! Alex’s ruse was that she wanted to turn herself in – to Anna. Anna has a better idea. Finn won’t like it, but Valentin might think it just might work.
It may catch Alex off guard if Anna doesn’t want to arrest her just yet because she wants her sister to come to Port Charles – for her wedding! Valentin usually doesn’t like having the law around, but if they’re going to have a chance of arresting Alex at the wedding, it would be wise to have some law enforcement undercover nearby.
Anna will have to contact the WSB to coordinate, since Alex is not a Port Charles or the United States resident, and therefore out of the PCPD’s jurisdiction. However, they can hold her for extradition if no WSB agents are available. Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is Finn’s best man so he will definitely be there!
