Dancing With The Stars 2020 Spoilers: Did Cheryl Burke Just Say She Wants Len Goodman Back?
ABC Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Cheryl Burke has been on every DWTS season except one. That makes her an expert on the dance competition show and she’s speaking out about exactly what is missing from the popular show.
Dancing With The Stars 2020 Is Different For Cheryl Burke
She recently talked to Showbiz Cheat Sheet about the current season and what she has to say may surprise you!
It’s no secret that Dancing With the Stars is dramatically different this year. Longtime hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews are gone and Tyra Banks has taken their place.
COVID-19 has eliminated the live audience and each and every contestant needs to be tested for the coronavirus and practice social distancing.
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic Has Changed ABC’s Dancing With The Stars
Has social distancing changed the way that people interact, in terms of the competitors and judges? Burke thinks this is the case: “Some seasons you don’t really mesh well with some people or the whole cast isn’t a hundred percent in this together — it just depends on who the cast is.”
But this season Burke thinks that the cast had a pronounced sense of wanting to be together. “I have befriended Jeannie Mai, Justina [Machado], [and] Anne Heche — all of us wanted so bad to be able to go out and have coffee or whatever, but we can’t. So that’s a shame.”
Dancing With The Stars Has Seen Many Changes This Season
Carole Baskin was on Season 29 as a celeb competitor and she expressed similar sentiments to Showbiz Cheat Sheet.
“Because of COVID-19, we see each other at a distance and we all have masks on,” Baskin said. “It’s really hard to have a conversation because we’re staying eight feet away, not six.”

Does Cheryl Burke Think The Judges Are Lacking In Consistency?
Burke has always been outspoken and she also voiced her opinions about the judging this season. “It’s not as much about the show or me getting older as much as it is this frustration … is this show still the show I signed up for?”
She explained, “I think Derek’s doing an amazing job, don’t get me wrong at all. I think that what’s missing is just the consistency. As I’ve said before, there [are] certain rules. We’ve always had [those rules] from day one when I started back in 2006.”
She said that former judge Len Goodman’s constructive criticism is what the show is missing most this season.
