The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: 5 Reasons Why The Hope Mannequin Storyline Isn’t All That Bad

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: 5 Reasons Why The Hope Mannequin Storyline Isn’t All That BadCBS The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that viewers will soon have an opportunity to delve in a little more into what makes Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) tick and act the way that he does.

While no one knows why in Los Angeles Thomas is the manipulative man that he is, his obsession with a mannequin that looks exactly like Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) will tell us a little bit more about this man, and yes, his mental health issues. And while there are a lot of B&B fans who are not loving this storyline at all, here are five reasons why it’s not as bad as you think.

#1 There Are People Out There That Actually Do Act And Think This Way

Mental health issues are a serious matter but unfortunately, there’s such a stigma around it that many people can’t get themselves to open up about it, for fear that they will get shamed. Thankfully, the writing team at B&B is putting a much-needed spotlight on this topic, as there are people out there who can relate to Thomas Forrester and his issues.

#2 Many Storylines See Female Characters Breakdown With Mental Health Issues, And Not Men

All too often, and especially in the television industry, you see many storylines that focus on female characters having breakdowns with mental health issues. Thankfully, The Bold and the Beautiful is flipping the script and pointing out that yes, this can happen to your partners, your husbands, your boyfriends, your brothers and your sons, too.

#3 Thomas Forrester Might Not Be Perfect, But He’s Not Evil, Either

While there’s no doubt that a lot can be said about a person like Thomas Forrester, he’s not perfect, but he’s certainly not evil, too. All the man is looking for is a little love in his life, which is something he’s long been denied.

#4 Thomas Forrester’s Terrible Childhood And Upbringing Are The Reason Why He Might Be Doing This

Thomas’ own father Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) has said over and over again that he’s failed his son many ways in the past. That, and the fact that his own mother Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) is not around might be triggering these actions from Thomas. All the man needs is a little bit of attention and a parent to talk to, which are two things he really never got while growing up.

#5 Thomas Forrester’s In Need Of A Lot Of Tender, Love And Care

All Thomas wants is a family that he can call his own – which is something he didn’t have before. Perhaps he wants to get his revenge on Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) by stealing Hope Logan away from their family. Either way, Thomas is someone he needs a lot of tender, love, and care, and unfortunately for him, the only thing willing to give him all three is a mannequin.
