Yes, in December of 2021 Hope could no longer sport the Spencer last name because Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) returned, once again, to his other love, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
The ping pong game that has represented Hope’s on-again, off-again, so-called relationship with Liam, hit the net. Her anticipated decision to break from him projects differently than past periods of upheaval.

How could Liam possibly have thought that Hope would choose to kiss Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) in his apartment when she had Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri) with her?
As viewers recall, Liam wasn’t aware that Douglas was visiting a friend after having dinner with his dad and Hope. That was a major flaw in Liam’s logic and also wasn’t fully addressed through the dialogue Clifton offered, as that drama played out. However, his stunned state of mind is a reasonable cover for that point being glossed over.

A memorable scene builds to a crescendo and then hits home hard. But B&B actually did far more than that by crafting a brilliant scenario where Thomas was kissing the mannequin while Liam watched from the doorway.
The ambiance of that particular visual was film noir incredible, sparking Liam’s outrageous decision to flee to the cliff house and seek solace with Steffy. All of it will not soon be forgotten by viewers, or likely by those who were involved in creating those moments of superb daytime drama.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Standing Tall, Rather Than Falling Down
Hey, if Liam is going to run to Steffy after deciding that Hope was somehow involved with Thomas, then it’s time to make a firm decision and stick to it. Dropping the Spencer name and choosing to move on won’t be simple. But Hope has proven in recent years that she’s determined and resilient.
Instead of having Hope fall apart after the reveal where Liam’s actions are exposed, here’s hoping that B&B has Noelle’s character stand tall. Enough is enough with Liam’s instant reverts to Steffy.
Hope deserves better than being one of the women in Liam’s life. Thomas would make her number one by far, with the understanding that he would need to be handled gently during his recovery period, with future stability hardly guaranteed. But Hope could also choose to be with John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), who could split from Steffy, or with someone else when the time is right.
