Sister Wives Spoilers: Meri Brown Ruined Robyn’s Dream? Cardinal Rule Of Plural Marriage Broken
Sister Wives spoilers reveal that Kody Brown gets a lot of hate for how he and the other wives treat Meri Brown. However, there might be a reason for that. It seems that Meri actually dictates who Kody marries, even if he isn’t interested in them. Plus, one of the cardinal rules of plural marriage is being repeatedly broken by Meri. Find out how this affects Robyn Brown.
Sister Wives – The Cardinal Rule Of Plural Marriage
Polygamists don’t just marry a bunch of women without rules being attached. At least, if they are following the guidelines set forth by the particular faith that claims they can have their own persona harem at home. One of the rules is that plural marriage isn’t just about the man. It’s just as important that the sister wives are bonded, connected and have a relationship with each other.
Meri Brown Is In Complete Control
As we have seen on Sister Wives, Meri tends to be an outsider and doesn’t seem to try and build any relationships. Even though Kody is the man of the house and seems like he is in charge, it could actually be Meri. She’s the first wife… the top dog if you will. Anyone who has met a polygamist family knows that the first wife makes all the rules that the other wives follow. It’s not supposed to be a cruel setup, it’s just like how employees have supervisors… someone has to be in charge and have the final say. However, this is supposed to be limited in the first wife’s relationships with their wives… they aren’t supposed to order their husband around.
One clue we have of this is during a Sister Wives Tell-All, Kody wasn’t immediately interested in Janelle Brown or Christine Brown. He also admitted publicly that he didn’t want to marry Robyn at first because she was divorced with children. Kody actually called it the “ick factor.” So, why did he marry these women if he wasn’t that into them? Because Meri controls the house and that’s what she wanted.
Sister Wives Spoilers: Not About Relationships
Even though sister wives are supposed to have a close relationship and help one another, Meri tends to go off and do her own thing. She also seems to reject any attempts to build relationships. So, why push Kody to marry these other women then? Perhaps so she didn’t have to deal with Kody so much. It gave her more alone time, a way for her to do her own thing and kept Kody busy. We already know that Meri and Kody’s marriage has always been rocky and distanced.
What Does This Have To Do With Robyn Brown?
Robyn was initially hesitant and nervous about marrying into a polygamist family. So she had conversations and learned about it. She was under the impression that she would be joining a family. That she would have her husband and sister wives that would become a positive and important part of her life. However, that hasn’t been the case at all. She is the wife that is trampled on the most and Meri seems to bully her a lot. Robyn should be seen smiling and with a sparkle in her eye. Instead, she seems incredibly sad and very numb. The conversations during the Tell-All specials and information gathered from the books seem to indicate that Robyn’s dream life has turned into one big disappointment. And Meri might be to blame for that.
