The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Melody Thomas Scott Walks Down Memory Lane
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers say that if there’s one person who has seen the good, the bad, and maybe even the downright ugly in this fictional town of Genoa City, it’s most definitely Nikki Newman. Her portrayer, Melody Thomas Scott, looks back at some of her favorite moments during her very long career on the hit CBS soap. Here’s what she has to say.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Melody Thomas Scott Looks Back At Her Favorite Moment In Genoa City
While there’s no doubt that The Young and the Restless’ Melody has had a lot of favorite storylines, dialogues, moments, scenes and so forth, there are only a few that stand out as her favorite. And believe it or not, they might not have been Nikki’s best moment, either.
Melody tells Soap Opera Digest in a new Y&R interview that she seems to like more of Nikki’s very dramatic, high-stakes scenes. But then again, who doesn’t, right? She said, “Being kidnapped, held hostage, being stalked, etc. I guess I am an adrenaline junkie! Though these high-drama situations aren’t necessarily rooted in reality, I find them to be extremely satisfying to play. I also love when Nikki and Victor [Eric Braeden] have a fight. They are very passionate whether they are loving each other or fighting with one another.”
With that said, Melody also said that she loves how intense the rivalry between her character and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has been in the past. Nikki says that she’s loved filming all of her scenes with the equally talented and beautiful Sharon Case.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Nikki?
She puts it this way, “I particularly enjoyed our fights in the Newman stables, where our director, Mike Denney, pretty much let us do what we want. And no one would have guessed that when Sharon talked Nikki into accompanying her down into the Genoa City sewers – complete with rats – so many years ago that it would create a complicated relationship between two very opposite characters.”
It’s without a doubt that fans can’t wait to see even more from Nikki Newman in the near future. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on the CBS network. Check your local listings for times. Be sure to catch up on everything happening with The Young and the Restless right now.
