Banks posted the information online saying it was an “honor” to join the CBS show. Banks’ first script airs March 1.

The Young and the Restless: The CBS Sudser has a New Writer

Banks posted the following message: “Dear Family and Friends, I am so excited to announce that my first script for The Young and the Restless airs on Monday, March 1, 2021. Writing for the show is a thrilling ride that challenges my creative juices every week.”

“Bill and Lee Bell are icons of the television industry whose love, mentorship and support I have always cherished. It is an honor to be a part of their soap family and the legacy that has continued for almost 48 years.”

The Young and the Restless spoilers: There is a new writer at Y&R

The excited writer added, “What a delight to return home to work with the amazing cast and characters of one of the greatest, never-ending stories ever told. The drama, rich with passion, intrigue, mystery and romance has captivated the hearts of many through the years.”

“I hope you, too, will share the magic and tune in to see my opening credit on my premiere episode. Who knows…you might even get hooked!” She ended her positive missive by thanking everyone for their love and support. Banks’ first script airs March 1.

The Young and the Restless spoilers: What Happens Next in Genoa City?

Banks has a plethora of talent to write for, it will be interesting to see how she treats the characters and which way she goes with the current storylines. Right now there is the dilemma of which woman Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) should be with as well as a premature interruptus of Abby Newman’s Melissa Ordway) pregnancy plot.

Fans are fickle and opinionated and Banks will need to hit the ground running to appease a wide audience of fans. Fans are also wondering about the status of Sasha Calle who plays Lola Rosales. She is was chosen to be the next Supergirl and fans are wondering if this means she will exit Genoa City, perhaps with her unlucky in love brother Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
