Robyn concocted a supposedly brilliant idea for a jewelry and clothing business. Called My Sister Wife’s Closet, the company attempted to build on the Sister Wives’ fame.
But Kody Brown’s fourth wife discovered that she needed more than fame to create a fortune. And despite cleverly linking her company’s name to the Sister Wives game and all of her co-stars, Robyn has struggled.

My Sister Wife’s Closet: Triumph Or Tragedy for Sister Wives?
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected families around the world. And for small businesses like Sister Wives star Robyn’s “My Sister Wives Closet,” surviving lockdown has been a struggle.
But with the coronavirus vaccine offering hope of a light at the end of the lockdown tunnel, many small companies have gradually reopened.
And then there’s My Sister Wives Closet. Visit the website, and the pop-up still appears.
“WE’LL BE BACK SOON! We are busy updating the store for you. Sign up for our newsletter to stay informed!” urges the message.
The website uses the names of all the Sister Wives stars, seeking to separate itself by asserting that “your story is your best accessory.” That somewhat vague statement gets clarified on the home page.
“We have always had a dream to develop and design quality products made in the United States that the everyday woman would use and treasure… but add our own personal touch while promoting femininity, strength, and family,” says the site.
Although Robyn gets credited outside the site for creating the concept, the website itself uses the names of all the Sister Wives stars. The business is described as “an online jewelry and clothing line boutique launched by Robyn, Meri, Christine, Janelle and Kody Brown.”
The My Sister Wife’s Closet Facebook page parallels that mission statement. Not updated since 2019, the page shows some glimpses of the Sister Wives branded products.
Can Sister Wives ‘Closet’ Company Succeed? Social Media Scoffs
The big mystery now: Given that “My Sister Wife’s Closet” uses all the Sister Wives stars’ names, will Kody, Meri, Christine, and Janelle help Robyn succeed? Brown’s fourth wife set up lofty goals in creating the company.
“My Sister Wife’s Closet strives to create long-lasting, one-of-a kind products that tell a story and empower individuals to embrace their unique beauty,” says the site. “We want to build a brand that inspires humanity and the American Dream by employing hard-working people that believe in the power of self-expression and importance of family.”
If social media indicates the potential fate of the company, it’s not very promising.
On Reddit, a Sister Wives social media post devoted to My Sister Wife’s closet begins with an overall slam for the name and then bashes the business as a whole.
“I can’t get over how dumb My Sister Wife’s Closet is,” began the Sister Wives critic. “The name. People generally put jewelry in a jewelry box and clothing in a closet… The story. Do any of these women actually raid each other’s closets? Like, maybe that would have been important to share in their branding? Oh, but wait. These four women hate each other. They would never.”
As for potential customers, Sister Wives watchers pointed out that with the products targeted at other polygamists, “that’s a pretty small customer base, especially if you consider the super fundamentalists wouldn’t want to associate with them.”
The problem: “My Sister Wife’s Closet” could have focused on merchandise designed for Sister Wives fans. But that potential has not materialized.
Sister Wives Star Robyn Brown Gets Blamed For My Sister Wife’s Closet Concept
In addition to challenging the name and products, Sister Wives social media followers have questioned the concept. And they haven’t spared Robyn in their criticism.
“Robyn basically designed friendship necklaces for grown-a*s women. But, like, friendship necklaces that only apply to friends married to the same man,” noted one Sister Wives social media follower. “Someone… commented that a lot of the designs looked like butts and boobs. Couldn’t agree more. I would add that the abstract design of four women looks like a paw print. And why would four women be significant to other sister wives or other women? Soooo random. I guess what annoys me the most is there is a germ of a good idea there, but they blew it.”
Several critics of the Sister Wives’ business offered theories on how Robyn came up with the concept. One popular theory: The Sister Wives star put creating a business on her bucket list.
“Personally, I think it was on Robyn’s “life list” or whatever. It made no earthly sense for the family,” pointed out the critic of Kody Brown’s fourth wife.
Comparing Robyn with Janelle, Meri, and Christine, the Sister Wives fan noted that Kody’s first three wives “don’t exude any more or less confidence in their fashion choices than the average middle aged/middle America mom.” Robyn appears to have much more faith in her style selections.
Will “My Sister Wife’s Closet” owners listen to these critics? And will the entire family step up to help out? Or will the closet doors close permanently? Check back on our site regularly for all your Sister Wives news!
