For years, there have been a lot of people wondering just what happened to Sean and if he would ever return to Genoa City to sweep Abby off her feet. Well, it looks like that time has come, as he is coming back home during a very crucial moment in her life. Her husband Chance is missing, she has a baby on the way, and she feels completely lost and even a little lonely in her life right now.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actor Sean Carrigan, who is reprising his role as Stitch on the hit CBS soap, is excited to be back on the canvas. He didn’t expect that he would make a daytime television comeback, but feels very grateful that he’s gotten the opportunity to be back on set once again.

Carrigan puts it this way, “I always imagined that at some point Stitch would reappear because the character had never been killed off. I had no idea when, but in the back of my mind I always knew that the chance would come up.”

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Stitch?

The actor says that he was still pleasantly surprised when he got that all-important phone call from producers asking him to come back. He recalled, “I was visiting my mom in Florida when I found out that Y&R was interesting in having me come back for a story arc. It was pretty nice to get that call. My first response was, ‘I’m interested.’ From there, the ball got rolling.”

Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what’s in store for Abby and Stitch. We’ve got our fingers crossed for them!
