The Young and the Restless Spoilers: John McCook Opens Up About His Crossover Episode

Actor John McCook, who plays Eric Forrester on the hit CBS soap, recently opened up about his crossover experience between The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless. If John looks familiar, that’s because he played Lane in Genoa City from 1976 to 1980. And seeing how the two soaps film across the hall from each other at the CBS Studios in Los Angeles, this was a piece of cake for the veteran actor.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that just last week Eric reached out to Sally Spectra, who used to work with him at Forrester Creations. She obviously has a scheme in mind and she knows that the only person who could help her out is Eric, for better or for worse.

John puts it this way, “Courtney is a sweet, wonderful girl who’s very conscientious and I really enjoy working with her. I’ve always felt protective of her, so I’m really glad for her success in moving over and playing her character on Y&R.”

John also said that filming the crossover experience was such a smooth one, that he wouldn’t mind doing it again. He added, “This last time when I worked with Courtney, we were first up in the morning and they shoot earlier then we do on B&B, so I had to pry my eyes open a little bit but that was okay. It went really fast and we didn’t have any trouble at all.”
