1000-Lb Sisters spoilers reveal that Tammy Slaton may be having some trouble with her mental health these days. We have seen her and her sister, Amy Halterman, on the show and trying their best to get their weight under control. They have been working hard on losing weight and dieting, but Tammy’s health has been a concern for many of her fans and her family. With her doctor telling her that she may not live five more years, life has been tough. Now she is reflecting on her mental health.
Weight Gain and Depression
When we gain weight, at times it can be stressful and make us feel depressed. This is normal and Tammy has been opening up more about her mental health. In 2019, she told her fans that she tried to kill herself because she felt like the weight she has gained is going to kill her. She doesn’t think that she will live to be over 35 years old unless she begins to lose weight.
Tammy’s family has caused a lot of her mental stress too. When she grew up, her mother was absent and her grandmother pretty much took care of her and her sister. They got very close to her, but when she died, things just got worse for both of them. They had to fend for themselves when it came to eating and healthy choices were not the option for them. The death of their grandmother was part of their reason for overeating.
Mental Health and Weight Changes
Since being on the show, Tammy has revealed that things have changed for her. She said now she doesn’t mind going out in public and showing her body. She no longer hides the way she used to and she has gained confidence in herself.
When Tammy was diagnosed with COVID, it seems that her health got worse. She is currently recovering from it and she is happy about the new season of the show. She hopes to stay on her weight loss journey and we hope that, for her health’s sake, she does as well.
