Dancing With The Stars SLAMMED For Casting THIS Dancing Contestant!

Dancing With The Stars SLAMMED For Casting THIS Dancing Contestant!Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) can’t seem to see a way to pirouette away from problems.

First came the controversy when DWTS suddenly fired beloved host Tom Berergon  just prior to the start of season 29 in fall 2020.

Next fans slammed Dancing With The Stars for its replacement host, Tyra Banks. From her style choices to her announcement mix-ups, Banks repeatedly has attracted a backlash.

But most of all, the persona that Tyra has created seems too pretentious and self-conscious when compared with Tom’s relaxed, warm witty self.

Now a new season gives Dancing With The Stars producers a chance to redeem themselves.

But even before the first competitor steps on the dance floor, DWTS season 30 has attracted controversy!

Find out why some fans are slamming the show, plus what to know about season 30 below.

DWTS Season 30: Why Fans SLAM This DWTS Contestant!

Dancing With The Stars  has an impressive line-up of celebrity contestants.

But one of the competitors got more rants than raves when DWTS fans learned her name.

Olivia Jade became infamous when her mother, actress Lori Loughlin, and father, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli had to spend time in prison after faking Olivia’s college admissions.

Lori and her husband helped Olivia get admitted to the University of Southern California as a rowing recruit. But Jade had no such qualifications.

However, on the University application, Olivia sounded like a must-have recruit, winning gold medals for her rowing.

Prosecutors showed that Jade had never participated in rowing, with that alleged qualification part of a scheme on her parents’ part to get her admitted.

Now Jade has resurfaced as a so-called social media influencer. And apparently, to the dismay of DWTS fans, that qualified her to become a season 30 contestant.

When DWTS viewers learned the news, they slammed the decision to choose Jade. As one fan pointed out, it’s particularly ironic to hire a woman who faked her gold models when another competitor actually earned them.

“Really impressed that #DWTS was able to snag Olympian gymnast Suni Lee AND Olympian rower Olivia Jade,” tweeted one sarcastic critic.

And the mockery didn’t stop there. Some went so far as to speculate that Olivia’s parents paid for her spot on the show!

Others felt that giving Olivia a second chance at fame pushed out the opportunity to give a boost to someone who truly earned the spot.

“She participated in the fraud,” pointed out another Twitter critic. “Her “second chance”to repair her rep shouldn’t be on a stage on a national platform on a popular show. ABC wants to boost ratings by cutting away to shots of her cheating parents as they clap for her in the audience.Duh. #DWTSFail”

Who Will Win DWTS Season 30?

Predictions for who will take home the ultimate prize of the Mirrorball Trophy have already begun.

In addition to Olivia Jade, the celebrities competing for the trophy include Jimmie Allen, Mel C, Christine Chiu, Brian Austin Green, Melora Hardin, Olivia Jade, Matt James, Amanda Kloots, Martin Kove, Suni Lee, Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, Kenya Moore, Cody Rigsby, Iman Shumpert, and JoJo Siwa.

Those amateur dancers will get paired with professional dancers.

That line-up of pros includes Britt Stewart, Cheryl Burke, Daniella Karagach, Emma Slater, Jenna Johnson, Lindsay Arnold, Sharna Burgess, Witney Carson, Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, Brandon Armstrong, Gleb Savchenko, Pasha Pashkov, Sasha Farber, and Valentin Chmerkovskiy.

Next up: DWTS producers will match the amateur contestants to the pro dancers.

However, Dancing With The Stars did reveal one match, putting Siwa with Johnson.

That pairing makes history as DWTS’ first same-sex partnership.

“Obviously dancing with another female is so history-making,” noted Siwa. “… I love to win but already doing what I did with this show, and with this experience, and dancing with another female, and being the first, I’ve already won in a way.”

Which Judges And Host Will Return?

Fans have speculated about which judges and host will return.

Would DWTS decide to push Tyra Banks out the revolving host door and welcome back Tom Bergeron? And would the former judges of season 29 return?

At this point, producers have chosen to keep Tyra Banks as the host.

Judges for DWTS season 30 include Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Len Goodman.
