Did My 600-Lb Life Get Renewed For Season 10?

TLC seems to know that viewers got worried about My 600-Lb Life’s future.

As a result, the network just confirmed the My 600 Lb Life Season 10 premiere date.

That announcement marks the earliest date for the reality TV show to return from hiatus, according to Starcasm.

But the news of a tenth season also raises questions about what it might contain.

Viewers who have watched My 600-Lb Life for years know that last season turned out to contain the fewest number of episodes since 2016.

And yes, for those guessing it’s all about the coronavirus pandemic, you’re right.

Once again, the pandemic required TV show filming to halt.

After a 13-episode Season 9 and 16-episode season 8, some fans wonder just how many episodes will air for the tenth season.

At this point, TLC has limited details.

But the network did give a premiere date of November 10, 2021 for the My 600 Lb Life Season 10 first episode.

Will Dr. Now Star In My 600-Lb Life Season 10?

In the press release announcing season 10 of My 600-Lb Life, TLC answered one of the most popular questions about upcoming shows.

Would Dr. Now once again return to supervise participants on their journey to weight-loss surgery?

According to the network, yes.

TLC described the upcoming season as once again following “the journeys of morbidly obese people as they fight to save their own lives.”

That weight loss war will involve “making the courageous decision to undergo high-risk gastric bypass surgery.”

As a result of their decisions, each My 600-Lb Life episode will follow these individuals’ “lifelong hardships with addiction.”

But beyond that, the cameras will reveal “the inevitable impact their condition has on their closest relationships.”

And here’s the answer to that question about Dr. Now.

TLC promised that every episode will also offer “an inside look at the extreme emotional and physical journeys each person must undergo to qualify for life-saving surgery with Dr. Nowzaradan.”

How Will COVID Pandemic Impact My 600-Lb Life Season 10?

When the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a lockdown, TLC joined many other networks in shutting down filming.

But cases of COVID-19 continue to cause concern.

And with the traditional My 600 Lb Life episode sending camera crews into participants’ homes, we’re not sure how the pandemic may impact the upcoming season.

However, regardless of that Delta variant blamed for the new surge of COVID cases, some think TLC will boost the number of episodes for season 10.

We’ll find out soon!
