Sister Wives (SW) spoilers star Meri Brown revealed the sad news that her mom, Bonnie Ahlstrom, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 76. That happened six months ago. At the time, Meri naturally felt devastated and she still seems to feel the loss very deeply. This weekend, she shared about all the times she remembers her mom.
Sister Wives Star Meri Brown Broke When Her Mom Died
TLC fans saw in the previous season of the show, that Meri and Kody went through bad times. This time, it seemed worse than ever. Actually, Kody even seemed disinterested in even trying to fix their relationship. Then, along came the devastating news about her mom. At the time, Bonnie looked after her BNB in Parowan. Meri said on Instagram, “76 years and 17 days was not enough time for the world to feel the beautiful spirit of this beautiful woman.“
Sister Wives star Meri Brown often shared the difficult times as she adjusted to life without her mom. Additionally, she shut down the BNB, worked on dedicating a room to her mom, and attend the funeral. Later she reopened Lizzie’s Heritage Inn. By the time September rolled around, she felt utterly exhausted. So, she took a well-deserved rest break in Mexico. Just a short while after that, she remembered her mom after six months of her death.
Sister Wives Fans See All The Times Meri Missed Her mom
Anyone who lost a mom will understand Meri Brown right now. Taking to her Instagram, she listed all the ways she misses her mom. On September 26, she shared a photo of herself with Bonnie. In her caption, she wrote, “Six months today since the sudden passing of this beautiful and elect lady I have the pleasure of calling ‘Mom.” Then she listed the ways that she missed over the past six months.
The long list included remembering, “I don’t get to call her and tell her about my newest idea, my fun plans, or the latest news.” This one sounds very sad as well: “Six months of seeing something I think she’d love and then remembering I can’t get it for her.“
Naturally, Meri also misses chatting, or “asking advice, or [hearing] her voice.” Kody’s wife also misses hearing her mom talk about her love of God.

Grateful Memories
Meri Brown also noted that she experienced six months of, “being forever grateful for the 50 years I had her.” Sometimes, she also thinks about the love her mom gave, the things, Bonnie taught her, and the wonderful example she set. These days, she tries to follow Bonnie’s goodness and works hard at, “trying to be more like her.”
