Dancing With The Stars Britney Week Sparks Rumors: Was Britney Spears BANNED From Viewing DWTS?!
Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) just celebrated “Britney Week.”
And while the DWTS episode dedicated to Britney Spears sparked controversy over the eliminated dancer, it also resulted in rumors about the pop singer herself.
Find out why the gossip mill churned out rumors about whether Spears got to watch the DWTS episode dedicated to her!
DWTS Spoilers: Inside Dancing With The Stars ‘Britney Week’
Dancing With The Stars honored Britney Spears on the Monday, October 4, episode.
And while the COVID-19 pandemic caused judge Derek Hough, pro dancer Cheryl Burke, and contestant Cody Rigsby’s absence from the DWTS floor, the episode delighted fans with its theme.
But for Cheryl and Cody, the need to show off their jazz dance skills individually and remotely challenged judges.
As a result, the two scored 18/30.
Other contestants, though, managed to make life easier for the judges.
For instance, JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson performed the Argentine tango to “… Baby One More Time.”
And while the judges may not have felt impressed enough to see it “one more time,” Carrie Ann Inaba praised JoJo for her dancing talents.
But alas. DWTS rules mean someone gets sent home.
And for Britney Week, Christine Chiu and Pasha Pashkov didn’t do well enough to survive.
Bye, bye, Bling Empire cast member!
DWTS Celebrates Britney Spears, But Did Pop Singer Watch?
Dancing With The Stars host Tyra Banks didn’t dish on whether she had contacted Britney Spears about “Britney Week.”
As a result, some wondered if the pop singer even knew about the episode.
But an insider told Page Six that Spears knew about “Britney Week.”
The 39-year-old songstress became “aware” of the DWTS episode honoring her, added the source.
But the insider did not know if Spears could watch due to her conservatorship.
Britney Spears Shares Gratitude For Jamie Spears Court Decision
And the “Britney Week” tribute episode seemed timed perfectly, pointed out Page Six, referencing another insider.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny decided to suspend Britney’s father Jamie Spears, from whom she is estranged, as her estate’s conservator.
Turning to social media, the pop singer commented on the current status of her conservatorship.
“Although there is change and things to celebrate in my life, I still have a lot of healing to do 🌳 !!!” wrote Britney. “Thankfully I have a good support system and am taking time to understand it’s ok to slow down and breathe 🧘♀️ !!!!!”
The insider revealed that when the judge ruled to suspend Jamie, Britney did “not attend the hearing virtually.”
Instead, Spears enjoyed a relaxing vacation with her fiancé, Sam Asghari.
“Britney wanted to get away and relax with her new fiancé,” explained the source.
But Spears did work to make sure her lawyer understand her views.
“She had multiple detailed conversations with her lawyer before the hearing and trusted that he would get the job done, and he did,” added the insider.
