There are successes and failures on My 600-Lb Life and fans of the show really do pull for the cast members. Once they sign up for the show, they have already acknowledged that they are ready for their journey to lose weight. Olivia was in the second season of the show and she was struggling with her health. She was confined to a wheelchair and was on oxygen most of the time that we saw her on the show. Things seemed grim.

When she appeared on the show for the first time, she weighed 578 pounds. She couldn’t leave her home and she had to have family members take care of her. She was trying to lose weight on her own and thought that she would be able to have the surgery without anyone’s help. She was wrong and this is why she wanted to be on the show and work with Dr. Now.

Was Olivia a Success?

For those who followed Olivia, they wanted to know just how successful she was. She dropped down to 400 pounds and really wanted to get the extra skin removed. Dr. Now didn’t want to do this surgery because she was in recovery from another surgery. He said that this wouldn’t be safe.He did feel that she wasn’t very motivated to lose extra weight.

Olivia does have a good story. She actually kept her weight at around 200 pounds for a long time. She was working toward becoming a professional chef. She told her fans, “Now that I can stand all day, I’m going back to pick back up where I left off. This is what determination and never giving up does.”
