Amy has been accused of scamming fans in the past, even trying to solicit money for her sister Tammy Slaton’s funeral. Amy is usually the level-headed one of the sisters. So what do we know about Amy’s attempts to get fans to buy her a MacBook?

Amy has been caught up in several scandals over the years before 1000 Lb. Sisters debuted. Tammy is usually the one pulling stunts that upset fans these days. However, Amy opened up on her YouTube Channel about stealing a book from Walmart once. GoFundMe is a very sore point with fans when it comes to Amy. Amy’s followers accuse her of taking advantage of her loyal followers on these accounts.

Amy’s Account Is Closed

1000 lb Sisters followers know that Amy tends to post these GoFundMe accounts. One fan pointed out that Amy posted a GoFundMe account to buy a computer and they thought that was taking advantage of fans.

However, this GoFundMe page is not available since it was taken down due to the backlash. Fans of the star have to question why she needs fans to buy her a computer when she gets paid to appear on the show. Another fan defends Amy since she stated that the account was for a laptop.

Why Does Amy Need Fans To Buy Things?

Some 1000 LB. Sisters fans have to question Amy’s constant need to set up GoFundMe pages to get fans to contribute to buy things for her. It is not like Amy doesn’t have money coming in. Amy does Cameo appearances as well as getting money for the show. Amy’s husband Michael Halterman appears on the show as well as their young son Gage Halterman. If all three of them make the same about of money per show then they get between $3000 and $4500 an episode.

Amy should have had plenty of money to buy a laptop since the show started why is she not spending that money instead of asking fans to buy a computer for her? Is a computer not a part of her livelihood anyway?
