90 Day Fiancé stars Tania and Syngin
90 Day Fiancé stars Tania Maduro and Syngin Colchester have been together for four years and all along, their relationship has had its ups and downs. The couple announced the shocking news of their split in October. Meanwhile, on an episode of 90 Day Bares All, Syngin revealed that they ultimately decided to end their marriage because Tania wants children and he doesn’t.
However, it turns out things relating to their divorce aren’t quite as simple as they sound. Syngin is currently starring in season 2 of 90 Day: The Single Life, a show that allows previous cast members to try again at love.
In the latest episode of the 90 Day Fiancé spinoff, it turns out that Syngin and Tania don’t totally agree on the divorce. In fact, Tania tearfully told Syngin on the show that she doesn’t want to divorce him.
90 Day: The Single Life reveals Tania and Syngin’s relationship
While the couple is planning on divorce, it turns out their relationship isn’t entirely dead. In fact, Syngin shared on Friday’s episode that they are both still sleeping together and doing things that couples do, even though they have split. This fact is confusing fans no end – do they want to split or be together?
“You know, it’s always kind of strange because while I’m having sex with her, I’ll be like, ‘Damn. I’m not going to have sex with her again. I’m breaking up,’” Syngin told the cameras.
“So, it’s not the normal kind of sex, you know? It’s almost heartbreak. I almost want to start crying. But, I’m down to have sex regardless if I’m happy, sad, crying,” the South African hunk added.
It turns out the TLC and discovery+ reality stars are also still living together. At one point during the episode, Tania opened up, telling the cameras, “There is a part of me that hopes Syngin and I can still, like, work out, and maybe we can.”
“I didn’t marry him thinking it would end this way, I married him for a future,” Tania added.
Tania and Syngin need boundaries
However, Syngin did say that the split was “the best way forward” for them both. He said that now they have split, they need to have a conversation about boundaries.
Colchester said, “Me and Tania are still doing things that couples do,” adding, “But it’s time to step up and get the divorce going. It’s really hard because it’s the cycle of talking about separating but both of us are too chicken to actually do it because there’s a lot of emotional investment that we’ve put into our relationship.”
However, as Tania and Syngin spoke about divorce, she admitted to the cameras that she is not ready to end their relationship.
“I want to be intimate, I still want to kiss. Why not?” Tania said.
“We’re together, we’re still living together. Technically, yeah, we’re separating, but we’re not actually separated yet, like, I don’t consider myself single as of yet, until he’s finally out from under the same roof as me,” she added.
Syngin explained that while he still has a lot of love for Tania, he knows they need to put up boundaries, but Tania isn’t ready for that. She said she is struggling because she doesn’t want this to happen.
“Are we getting a divorce or are we getting separated? What do we even do? Separation, you’re still legally married, you’re separated. But I was thinking that is something to think about, separation or a divorce, you know, what does it look like if we do spend six months apart and like, working on ourselves and working on our own happiness,” Tania said.
90 Day Fiancé stars and children
It seems the major problem these days between Tania and Syngin is the fact that he doesn’t want to have children. However, Tania explained that it isn’t like she wants to have children right now. “I just want to be knowing that I can be working towards that, you know?”
Maduro imagined them growing old together, having children together, asking why they couldn’t have this. “Like, I just don’t get the why. I just had so much hope. It makes me so angry at both of us. I just feel like we didn’t try.”
As for Syngin, he also became emotional, but he believes they can’t get past wanting different things for their future.
Speaking of Tania wanting kids, Syngin said, “It breaks my heart because I know it’s something you really want,” adding, “And I love you so much, I want to give you everything that you want, but I just can’t do that.”
