My 600-Lb. Life: Where are They Now?Originally intended only to be a five-part miniseries that followed the weightless evolution of obese people over the course of 7 years, the series took off and became a TLC staple.

My 600-Lb. Life tells stories of transformation and follows the lives of morbidly obese people that are desperate for lifesaving bariatric surgery in order to turn their lives around.
Each individual is ultimately confronted with the reality that they could die if they don’t turn things around and renowned bariatric surgeon Dr. Younan Nowzaradan is there to oversee the process.

Sadly, many do not make it, and by the end of each show, loving fans are left wondering who will survive and thrive from the experience and who won’t.

Well, in a series of articles we’re going to research some of the former cast members and tell you where they are now.

Remembering Mellissa D Morris

Originally from Livingston, Texas, Melissa Morris weighed 653 lbs. In 2012 when she earnestly began her weight loss journey.

Fans will recall that the My 600-Lb. Life star had become accustomed to a certain lifestyle over the years, feeding her addiction by binging.

She had a husband, Chris Morris, who ultimately ended up being her caretaker and enabler in the process.

With her massive frame it was not surprise to fans that she had major difficulties in getting around and, as she had hopes of one day having children, she finally decided to turn her life around and joined Dr. Now to start down the rocky road to weight loss.

Where is Melissa Now?

Though the weight loss journey has not been an easy one for the My 600-Lb. Life star she has ultimately lost a total of 500 lbs. since she began her journey.

According to Cinemaholic, the reality TV star struggled with her weight loss through three pregnancies.

She gained 100 lbs. after her first pregnancies and by the time two more children came along, she had reached 275 lbs.

Fans will recall from her Where Are They Now episode that the reality TV star also had to contend with depression.

She told cameras that, though she was happy to be a mom, she had also been depressed over everything she had had to give up.

Still Sticking to the Plan and Winning

There is good news, however, as according to the My 600-Lb. Life star’s Facebook page, she appears to be sticking to her weight loss plan and is in great spirits.

She has since divorced her husband Chris, after repeatedly catching him cheating, and it appears that she has moved on and up and in now doing great with her family.

She still lives in Houston, Texas where she began her journey and, in fact, has secured her a job with Dr. Now.
