The Duggars spoilers reveal that Derick Dillard has made a statement on his wife, Jill Dillard’s brother, Josh Duggar, and the guilty verdict. The charges against Josh were pretty serious and he had allegedly been in possession and distribution of child pornography. This really shook the family and was one of the causes of TLC canceling their show, Counting On.
Derick Dillard’s Statement
Derick has done everything that he can to support his wife and knows that her family is one of the most popular in the country. It has been tough on him to be a part of it and when they left the show, fans weren’t sure if it was because of their varying opinions or the fact that he just didn’t want to be around them anymore. Derick and Jill were at several days of the trial and he showed support in every way that he could.
Dillard told his fans, “We just wanted to, among other things, see the facts for ourselves. America is the best country to get justice. Today was difficult for our family. Our hearts go out to the victims of child abuse or any kind of exploitation. We are thankful for the hard work of law enforcement, including investigators, forensic analysts, prosecutors, and all others involved who save kids and hold accountable those responsible for their abuse.”
Jill Dillard Adds to the Statement
Jill and Derick share a family blog where they post about life events and Jill wanted to add to his statement about her brother. They added that they “have been lied to so much that we wanted to hear the evidence for ourselves in court. After seeing the evidence as it was presented, we believe that the jury reached a just verdict today, consistent with the truth beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Jill then added that she thought that the actions of her brother will cause a rpipple effect that will add suffering to his family and children.
