On December 14, in the comment section of family friend Jim Holt’s social media post, the 19 Kids and Counting veteran, and husband of Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard unleashed on Jim Bob Duggar accusing him of deceit and manipulation with regards to his now failed Arkansas State Senate run.
This Facebook post and subsequent harsh comments came just days after Jim Bob Duggar’s eldest son Josh was found guilty of possessing and receiving child pornography.

‘Manipulation and Deceit’
In the comments, the Counting On alum wrote, “I used to have much respect for Jim Bob, as my father-in-law, and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt for years,” adding, “unfortunately, it’s only become clearer to us over time just how deep this man’s manipulation and deceit will go for his own gain, at the expense of others.”
The father of two went on to reveal that the Duggar patriarch had lied to him and his wife Jill Duggar on numerous occasions after which he slammed Duggar, writing, “Contrary to his campaign, he does not believe in freedom, but his manipulation has resulted in what is akin to human trafficking.”
He said that, when Jim Bob is confronted privately, his humble public façade drops, and he becomes “defensive and verbally abusive.” In the post, the former reality TV star continued to eviscerate the father on 19, writing, “When he says he cannot be bought, the truth is that he has a history of being a sellout to anything that he can personally profit from, and he will justify it however he wants to continue his personal agenda.”
Fans Praise Derick Dillard’s Honesty
Further down in the post fans rallied around Derick and his wife with comments like, “yes yes yes!!! Speak the truth, even when your voice shakes!!!” and “thank you for being an advocate for the silenced!! We love to see it!!! You, Jill and those babies are better off!!! Protect you all with all costs!!”
Yet another adoring fan of Derick and Jill commented extensively, writing, “Love, prayers, and hugs to you and Jill. I’m sorry you both have had to deal with this. Thank you for speaking out and speaking your truth. Lying, manipulation, verbal, emotional and financial abuse are NEVER OK!
I’m so glad you’ve gotten Jill away from that mess and have helped her seek therapy and heal. You both are more than welcome to come up for a visit anytime.
