1000 Lb. Sisters star Tammy was born July 27, 1986. This would make Tammy 35 years old. However, Tammy’s life could be cut short because of her food addiction. Tammy has been trying to get weight loss surgery since season one of 1000 Lb.
Both Tammy’s sister Amy Slaton Halterman and their brother Chris Combs have already had surgery and have begun their weight loss journey. Tammy keeps saying she will lose weight in her own time but she doesn’t seem to realize that her time is getting shorter and shorter. Tammy’s recent behavior does not seem to be helping her much either. Tammy continues to date men that are feeders instead of those who support her to lose weight. Tammy’s choices in men could certainly be her downfall.

With all of her health problems, 1000 Lb. Sisters’ Tammy Slaton is adding more destructive behavior to her daily activities. If next week’s previews are any indication of Tammy’s behavior, she is in deep trouble and someone needs to reign her in quickly.
After Tammy’s latest boyfriend began harassing her, she has begun to party a lot, especially now that Amy and her husband Michael Halterman have moved out. Tammy has admitted to going through at least 5 bottles of alcohol a week. At Tammy’s weight, this could be very dangerous.
Tammy Slaton is already on oxygen but any walking she does is hard on her as well. What would happen if Tammy was to fall while partying? Would any of the guys Tammy has been partying with help her?

1000 Lb. Sisters’ Tammy has self-esteem issues. However, Tammy also feels like she is entitled to be taken care of. Tammy has lived with all of her siblings at one point. Unfortunately, no one gets along with Tammy very long because she does not want to put forth a lot of effort to take care of herself. Tammy justifies her lack of progress by pointing out that she is not bedridden. Tammy believes that her family could be changing her diapers and should be glad that she hasn’t gotten to the point. Does Tammy not realize that she is more than likely to end up in a nursing home because her family cannot care for her?
Tammy has made it for 35 years but how many more years does she have if she doesn’t change? Will Tammy decide to put forth some effort after it is too late? Will Tammy get her surgery before her health is too bad for it to be an option?
