I Am Jazz star Jazz Jennings seems very lucky that her parents were so progressive back in the day when very few people understood trans people. The TLC show returned for another season recently, and fans see that Jazz goes through some difficulties. However, that didn’t stop her from giving her dad Greg a nice shoutout on his birthday.

I Am Jazz – New Season Shows Her Struggle With Weight Gain

Jazz gave her fans an update ahead of the premiere in November. She certainty put on a lot of weight. It looks like she gained about 100 pounds in two years. So, she became very focused on getting her health back to normal and spending some time on what really matters to her. Actually, her family seems to matter the most as they supported her all the way through her journey.

The I Am Jazz star turned 21 years old in October this year. On Instagram, she shared some throwback photos. In her caption, she said, “Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m 21 years old! Time has flown by…but here we are! I just wanted to thank you all for supporting me every step of the way and spreading the love. ❤️” Well, her mom and dad and her brothers and sister also supported her, a long time before TLC fans even knew she existed.

I Am Jazz – Greg Jennings Gets A Birthday Shout Out

On  Wednesday, December 8, Jennings took to her Instagram and shared a nice photo of herself with Greg. She wrote, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY to this incredible man🎉💝There are not many fathers out there who would allow their child to transition in a time when transgender youth were practically unheard of.” Then she elaborated, saying, “You gave me a voice and the freedom to be my true self. I love you so much and will always cherish our special connection. You da man😘.”

The brothers of the I Am Jazz star agreed that their dad is awesome. Sander commented, “We are so lucky to have the best dad in the world ❤️❤️❤️.” Lots of fans also arrived in the comments, as they admire Greg very much. Actually, Jennings is right about the lack of awareness and support for trans folks back when her journey started. So, a lot of people in the LGBTQ community love him.
