Josh Duggar’s Wife Anna Says She Was Hurt by Duggar Family Words in Wake of Conviction
Josh Duggar’s wife Anna says that she was hurt by the Duggar family’s harsh words in the wake of her husband’s conviction.
The former 19 Kids and Counting star was found guilty in December and, for the most part, the family remained silent up to that point. However, that appears no longer to be the case as many in the family had some harsh words to say and the words ultimately hurt Duggar’s wife, Anna.
Keep reading and we’ll fill you in on the details.
Duggar Family Members Agree with Verdict
A jury found Josh Duggar guilty of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material and, though he has yet to be sentenced, many of his family members have been talking – and it’s not nice. Various members of the Duggar family were in attendance for parts of the trial.
Josh’s wife Anna Duggar stood by her husband’s side for the duration of the child in body and, apparently, in spirit to as she has maintained his innocence throughout. When the verdict was read it was reported that the former reality star was “stoic.”
Per Screenrant, Josh’s sister Joy-Anna Duggar took to Instagram Stories on December 12 to make her public statement, writing, “Over this last year, as you can imagine, there have been a lot of unanswered questions in our minds regarding Josh. We were able to sit through the trial to hear the evidence for ourselves,” then, she husband Austin Forsyth, “agree with the judicial system’s verdict.”
The Power of Forgiveness
Jill Duggar and her husband Derick also took to Instagram to make their own statement, writing, “We have been lied to so much that we wanted to hear the evidence for ourselves in court,” adding with resolve that, “After seeing all the evidence as it was presented, we believe that the jury reached a just verdict today, consistent with the truth beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Anna Duggar herself has yet to make a statement regarding her husband’s conviction but, according to an In Touch Weekly source, she has been hurt by the Duggar siblings that have spoken out against her husband.
According to the source, Anna is still speaking to Josh’s parents but many of the siblings have distanced themselves from her and she is heartbroken. Jill and Derrick Dillard are happy with the verdict and Jinger Duggar Vuolo called Josh a hypocrite and said she “prays for his soul.”
Anna has said that these relationships may be redeemable but only from her faith and the power of forgiveness. Be sure to catch up with everything Duggar and return here often for news and updates
