Married At First Sight Spoilers – Two MAFS Spouses Cross Over
Bao Huong Hoang and Johnny Lam were matched in season 13 and when they arrived at the altar, Bao recognized Johnny as being the guy who ghosted her some ten years earlier. That should have been a clear indication that Bao should have run as fast as she could. Johnny wasn’t happy with Bao from the beginning and constantly criticized her, this resulted in her saying no on Decision Day while confusingly, he wanted to continue to “work on my marriage.”
Zack Freeman was matched with Michaela Clark on season 13 and the two didn’t get a good start when Zack was diagnosed with COVID-19 at the beginning of their honeymoon. That aside, the separation didn’t really cause their problems, it was Michaela’s explosive outburst that Zack couldn’t deal it. On Decision Day, the two agreed not to continue with the marriage.
Married At First Sight Updates – The Cross-Over
Both Bao and Zack were feeling lonely, they longed for their happily ever after, and neither got what they were hoping for. The two began as friends and four months later, Zack asked Bao on a date – he admitted that he was starting to have feelings for her, “has gotten to know Bao the last couple of months, I think she’s an amazing person. I like how she’s always herself. I love her giddiness. I really do.
I think anyone going into this process, like, wants to date intentionally. Like, you wanted to be married, so I understand that. I feel the same exact way. Nothing changes about how I feel about being married. I think it’s kind of a big risk, us going out. I wouldn’t just do this if I wasn’t serious.” Sounded like a good idea, and the two agreed to be exclusive, but that didn’t last long. Although during their time together, both seemed to be happy and both were smiling again.
Reportedly Zack was speaking to another woman at the same time that he was dating Bao. The woman, Elena Guevara, came forward and told Bao what was going on behind her back. Sadly for MAFS fans who wanted the cross-over to work, Bao and Zack have now gone their separate ways.
