Duggars Stun By Ignoring Josh Duggar Conviction And Pandemic With A PartyThe Duggar family became famous through “19 Kids And Counting” on TLC. In the wake of reports that Josh Duggar had molested several underage women, including some of his sisters, TLC created a spin-off, “Counting On,” which banned Josh. But then the Duggars got a double blow. First, in response to allegations that Josh had downloaded and possessed child pornography, TLC cancelled the show. And second, Josh landed in prison with a guilty verdict. 

So how did the Duggars respond? Seeming to ignore both Josh’s conviction and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the former “Counting On” stars threw a party! Get the details below.

If TLC’s seeking another way to spin off “19 Kids And Counting,” the network might want to title the show, “Counting On Controversy”! Just weeks after the Duggars’ oldest son Josh got convicted for child pornography, the famous family celebrated the New Year with a party, reported Us

Duggar family matriarch Michelle and patriarch Jim Bob Duggar held the New Year’s Eve celebration at their home. In addition to Josh’s parents, his brothers and sisters partied happily. One of Josh’s sisters, Jana, even shared an Instagram video from the event.

Celebrating despite Josh’s child pornography charges, the family gathered with many friends at the Duggar family home in Tontitown, Arkansas to welcome 2022. Jana captioned her video from the annual Duggars’ New Year’s Eve/Day party: “Happy New Years!”  And the “Counting On” alum, 31, come up with a surprisingly shady choice for the musical background to her video.

We see what you did there, Jana Duggar! Josh’s sister set her party video to Ben Rector’s “The Best Is Yet to Come.” Put her in the running for the “Most Successful Shade of 2022” Award!

The entire family (minus Josh) celebrated at the party. Taking clean-up duty, Justin Duggar and his wife Claire headed to their parents’ kitchen to handle those inevitable after-the-party messes. For entertainment, Jason Duggar sung tunefully for the celebrating party attendees.

Others partying at Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s home included Johanna Duggar, Jennifer Duggar, Jordyn Duggar, and Jessa Duggar’s husband, Ben Seewald. Based on the video, Josh’s wife Anna Duggar does not appear to have made an appearance. (Although Jana could have protected Anna by not filming her.)

Where’s Josh Duggar Amid Family Party?

Noticeable by his absence: Josh Duggar. The 33-year-old oldest son of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar remains in solitary confinement. Josh headed to prison after a trial lasting six days. Duggar got convicted on two charges of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse.

And while Anna Duggar cares for their seven children, Josh could spend years in prison. Each guilty count might result in up to 20 years in prison and $250,000 in fines. For safety reasons, the “19 Kids And Counting” alum remains in solitary confinement until his sentencing.
