Married At First Sight Spoilers: Have The Experts Become Irrelevant?

Married At First Sight

Married at First Sight spoilers and updates tease that the franchise has not had much success in the past few seasons and MAFS fans are wondering if the experts are even relevant anymore. Especially after MAFS season 13, do Pastor Calvin Roberson, Dr. Viviana Coles, and Dr. Pepper Schwartz even have a purpose anymore?

Married At First Sight Spoilers – Incompatibilities

In season 13 none of the couples are still together and they struggled to get along with each other. Myrla Feria was very clear that she did not want a bald husband who had pets, what did she get? Gil Cuero is a super nice Firefighter, bald, and owns a dog. Johnny Lam was matched with Bao Huong Hoang and he constantly put her down, then two weeks into living together, he basically went back to his own place and uninvited her to a family gathering. Michaela Clark and Jose San Miguel Jr. both had explosive personalities, hers was physical, where she would kick and throw things. MAFS fans are wondering if they were even vetted?

In season 12 there were DEAL BREAKERS on religion and finances, and they were ignored in the match-making process; Clara Berghaus and Ryan Oubre. And, Virginia Coombs was matched with Erik Lake, she had cats and he was allergic to them. Chris Williams was matched with Paige Banks, he was intimate with her multiple times then said he was attracted to her face. As well, he dropped the bombshell that his ex-fiance was six weeks pregnant!

Married At First Sight Updates – DEAL BREAKERS

When do DEAL BREAKERS become important? In the current season, #14, Alyssa Ellman was matched with Chris Collette. She was very clear that bad teeth were a DEAL BREAKER. Chris is one of the few people to be on MAFS whose teeth are stained and his front teeth are crooked. He has a wonderful smile, is smitten with his new wife, but every time he opens his mouth, she is reminded of what she didn’t want. Yes, it’s superficial, but first impressions mean everything, and sometimes, looks mean everything to someone. Clearly, teeth can be fixed, being cold to someone can’t – but she did warn them in advance.

The experts do have a lot of experience and for the most part, when we see them, they offer sound guidance to the couples. In recent seasons viable matches have not been made, more so, incompatible singles have been matched and the experts have acted more like spectators.

Are the experts the ones making the matches, or is it production doing it to drive drama? Good question! One thing is for sure if they have a disastrous season 14 as they did in 13, something is going to have to give.

  1. […] The matches this season make it look like the experts or producers are just not listening to the singles when they are vetted. One person says they want someone tall, they get short. Once wants financial stability, they get their new spouse being unemployed. One wants athletic, good teeth and cowboy type and gets a guy that is low on the attractive scale and has stained, crooked teeth. One wants a wife who can cook, gets one that doesn’t. There are many more red flags that were ignored, so hope for this season having a positive outcome is fading. […]
