Could There Be A Celebrity Version Of Married At First Sight Coming?


Married At First Sight spoilers and updates tease that MAFS is based on the Danish series back in 2013 and was thereafter sold around the world and there are now versions in French, German, Swedish and Italian. When the Australian version premiered in 2015, following the UK version, It became an immediate hit with 1,13 million viewers. In between those two, there was the US version with controversial Jamie-Otis begin cast as one of the first hopefuls to appear in the US franchise. There have been 14 seasons of MAFS US completed and as the seasons go, it is always a battle to keep ratings consistent or higher than the previous seasons. With that in mind, this is the reason for all the dramatic and outrageous singles who are cast, ratings.

Married At First Sight Spoilers – Celebrity Editions

There have been many reality shows that have turned into celebrity editions; Undercover Boss, Big Brother, Survivor, MasterChef, The Challenge, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and Family Feud, to name a few. And then there are the reality shows that cater just to celebrities; Dancing With The Stars, Celebrity Apprentice, Celebrity Rehab, and many more.

There are two reality shows that we know of that have not had celebrity editions yet; The Amazing Race and Married At First Sight. Phil Keoghan, the host of TAR, spoke to and said that he would be open to an all-celebrity edition of The Amazing Race and he had this to say, “I have had different celebrities come up to me and say that they would like to be on the show, from memory, I remember early on Neil Patrick Harris stopped me at one point at an event and he wanted to go”, and he has heard the rumors that possibly Sarah Jessica Parker and Drew Barrymore would be interested.

Married At First Sight Updates – Married At First Sight Celebrity Edition

Aussie TV presenter Richard Williams said on an Australian radio show that he had been offered “a lot of zeros” to star in a celebrity spinoff of MAFS. Aussie expert on the Australian version of MAFS< John Aiken, claims there are in fact no talks about a celebrity edition.

Imagine having a celebrity edition of the US version of MAFS, do you think something like that could ever happen? Lifetime actually pranked MAFS fans on April 1 this year by saying they were working on a celebrity edition. But, if we really think about this, can you really see celebrities allowing themselves to be completely vulnerable and honest in front of the camera? Nah.
