Alana Honey Boo Boo no longer cares about her mom Mama June’s feelings, all she cares about is her big sister Lauryn Pumpkin who has been taking care of her since she was 14 years old. Seven months ago, in April 2022, the judge awarded Lauryn full custody of her kid sister Alana, although Lauryn was once a temporary guardian to Alana back when their mother Mama June was arrested in 2019. Since 2019 till date, Mama June has never been involved in the lives of her four children especially her last child Alana who’s currently 17 years old.
Mama June was ordered by the judge to pay Pumpkin $800 monthly stipend till Alana turns 18. Even though Mama June, 45, Lost the custody battle to Lauryn Pumpkin, 22, she doesn’t care because days after losing the battle she uploaded a picture of herself and her husband, singing him praises. NB. None of her children knew about her marriage to her husband because she didn’t tell them.
Honey Boo Boo — How Alana Dissed Her Mother Via TikTok
It might seem like a normal cruise but the message was passed alright. Alana joined this TikTok trend where you do a this vs that challenge or before vs after challenge. In the clip Alana was seen dancing to Pretty Boy Swag by Soulja Boy, as she dances, the caption “Sister who needed a momma” was inscribed above her, then she turns the camera to Lauryn who was in the kitchen, as Lauryn faces the camera and dances, the caption “The sister that came in clutch and raised her” came on top of Lauryn’s forehead.
Of course, that’s every bit of the shade it’s meant to be, message delivered, loud and clear, absentee mom equals no mom, present sister equals everything. Fans went wild with the video and can’t hide their joy at how Alana praised Lauryn for stepping in and playing the role of both mom and big sister in Alana’s life.
Comments like “Shout out to Pumpkin for stepping up! She is truly the best,” and “Momma June should be called AintNoMomma June” or, “Pumpkin’ is the MVP! Everyone should have a sister like that,” and “Pumpkin I’m so proud of you and Josh dor stepping up, I know how hard it is but yall did it!” Could be seen littered in the comment section.
Four months ago, in July, ET released an exclusive clip they obtained of Lauryn “Pumpkin”, Lauren didn’t hold anything back nor did she mince words when she vehemently refused to allow Mama June to take Alana to live with Mama June and her husband Justin.
Honey Boo Boo — How Lauryn Removed To Let Mama June Take Alana
The one-and-a-half-minute clip begans with Lauryn ranting to her sister Jessica in a car about how their mom promised her things would be different, but she’s yet to see a change in her. “How the f*ck does she think I’m going to let Alana move over there and I don’t know that dude,” Lauryn says to Jessica. “Either way, b*tch, she would never move in with you because you’ve made poor f*cking choices as a mother.”
Lauryn went on to list out more reasons Mama June should know that Alana wouldn’t be moving back in with her. “You act like a f*cking 15-year-old who still wants to go out and party and blow money here and there on the most stupid f*cking sh*t,” she adds. “Like, you’ve wasted all this money, like, what about the [money] it takes to take care of Alana?”
In a confessional, Lauryn expressed her frustration that her mom only mentioned Alana’s name when it came to moving in with her. “How about ask how she’s doing, ask how she’s doing in school, ask her if she needs anything,” she says. “I mean mama may be sober now, but she’s still a selfish a**hole.”
