Alana is filled with personality and isn’t afraid to show it.In the video that she shared this past week,she let her fans know that she is now and up and coming rap artist. She dropped her new single, “So Cute” last month and now it is available on Spotify and YouTube. This big news was very surprising to see since her fans never really thought of her as a rapper.
In this new song, Alana spills the tea about all the drama that is happening in her life these days. She raps about her mother, Mama June Shannon and she gave her sister, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon a lot of praise and love. This single seems to be her new way of expressing herself and letting her fans know that she is still here, still relevant, and not backing down from the haters.
In her post, she captioned the video, “What’s Up World! You may know me as HONEY BOO BOO!!! Welll now I’m introducing BIG LANA!!! I decided to have some fun and do a song, I love it, I bet y’all will too. I hope I exceed your expectations! Telling my story and doing me. The way I want to and how I want to.”
What’s It All About?
This new song gives her fans an idea of what her life has been since she was on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and what has changed. Most of the song is about her mother and how she was hooked on drugs and alcohol.

The song also makes mention of how her mother would destroy hotel rooms and how she left her children for a man, Geno Doak, who got arrested with her. Mama June made a lot of horrible decisions concerning herself and her children when she was on drugs. One line of the song says, “You seen the drama with my mama?”
In 2019, Alana was adopted by Pumpkin since their mother was no longer around and she had already been arrested by that point. Alana has been very open about how much her sister has saved her life and in this song, she mentions that as well. In the song, she says, “My sister saved my life, Pumpkin not sweet potato pie.”
