How Anna Duggar And Her Duggar In-Laws Relate Since Josh’s Sentencing
Ever since Josh was sentenced to 151 months in prison for being guilty of receiving and possessing child pornography, his wife Anna moved in to live with her inlaws at the massive “Duggar compound.”
When Josh’s sentencing hearing was still ongoing, Josh’s sisters who were very much against their brother did all they could to make Anna see reasons and divorce Josh, even if not for any reason but for the sake of her seven children. Anna refused vehemently.
At a point, Josh’s cousin Amy King penned an open letter to Anna, telling her that she was “being surrounded by the wrong kind of support.”
“If no one else in your life is saying it, I need you to understand that there is no shame in divorcing Josh,” Amy wrote to Anna on Instagram. “Someday your kids will be old enough to understand what kind of guy their father really is. You can’t protect them from the truth for forever!” Amy even offered Anna to come live with her but Anna ignored Amy.
Counting On — Anna Distanced Herself From In-Laws
Not that Anna found it difficult to make the right decision for her and her children, she just chose to stick by Josh because to her, the world is wrong about her husband and that can be proved in the letter she wrote ahead of Josh’s sentencing hearing.
“Joshua sees the best in people and is willing to walk alongside them to help make their dreams a reality,” Anna wrote. “I ask that you consider reuniting us as a family again soon.”
After Josh’s sentencing, an insider revealed to In Touch that Anna took care to distance herself from every Duggar family member that was against her husband. From Jill, Amy, Jessa, to Jinger. Anna did well to avoid contact with them because she thinks they’re her enemy.
The insider also revealed that even though Anna wants nothing to do with them, “The Duggar family fully supports Anna, but it’s complicated. There are a lot of hurt feelings over what Josh did.”
Counting On — Josh’s Crimes That Led Him To Prison
Anna Duggar’s husband Josh Duggar was sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison for being guilty of receiving and being in possession of child pornography.
Before Josh’s sentencing hearing, they’ve been news of Josh molesting five underage girls while he was still a teenager, four out of the five girls were his blood sisters. There has also been news of Josh constantly cheating on his wife Anna, even to the extent of opening a fake social media account just to cheat on Anna.
These and more were Josh’s crimes, but, despite all these, it seems Anna’s love for her husband surpasses all the atrocities her husband has committed because she has chosen to stick with him amid all this.
Either that or Anna is plain daft because, at the initial stage, it was of the impression that Anna was ignorant of Josh’s crimes, then when the crimes came out in the open, it was of the impression that Anna was brainwashed by her inlaws with the insinuation that her husband is innocent of the crimes labeled against him.
