Actually, TLC fans also love seeing her dad, Glenn on the show. Whilst it was not unexpected that Babs passed away, the news devastated her fans. Now, they expressed their feelings about the visitation and funeral being thrown open so they can attend.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Babs Thore Died Suddenly
When Whitney Way Thore told her fans, “My mother died last night just as the credits rolled on her favorite movie,” they were reminded about Bab’s medical issues. The TLC star explained that cerebral amyloid angiopathy can cause dementia, and in the case of her mom, bleeding in the brain. Her death wasn’t unexpected, but fans can only imagine the pain of holding a mom as she takes her last breaths.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans know that Glenn Thore’s wife had previously suffered from a stroke. However, she experienced a second one. When she passed, she’d been released from rehab and they all stayed together in a retirement home. Updates from Whitney revealed that they stayed close to her and made sure that she was as comfortable as possible. Understanding the outpouring of grief and condolences for her mom, the family decided to let TLC fans attend the visitation.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life Fans Can Attend The Visitation & Funeral
When Whitney Way Thore shared about opening the funeral and visitation to fans, the news came via her Instagram. In it, she revealed herself with her mom and Babs looked beautiful. Actually, it’s well known that she and her mom were very close. Notably, Babs always supported her daughter. And in happier days, she seemed like a fun-loving person. So, many fans felt grateful that the family remembered how much they also loved Babs.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans seemed blown away by the consideration that the family has for them. Author Amy Morin wrote, “How kind of you to invite everyone. Many people who never met your [mom] in person … still loved her.” Of course, Babs Thore had fans who loved her from all over the world. So, a lot of them can’t attend. However, it’s very likely that those people who live locally will make their respects.

The “visitation is on Friday, Dec. 16 from 5-8pm. The funeral is Saturday, Dec. 17 at 12pm. Both are at Forbis and Dick Funeral Service: 1118 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC 27401.”
Whitney Way Thore added, “Both are open to the public and if you loved my mother, you are welcome.”
