Alaskan Bush People: Matt Brown Only Shars Videos of Himself
Those that follow him know good and well that Matt Brown uses his Instagram account to share videos. He also makes clear that those videos are only ever of him. And, since he doesn’t have the ever-present blue checkmark indicating it’s officially him, this is a good way to do that – because you can see that it’s his account.
However, it appears that scammers that infest social media networks have decided to make clone accounts impersonating Matt in order to message his fans responding to his clips with requests for money. These scammers, pretending to be Matt, hope to garner sympathy from his fans to swindle them out of money.
Matt apparently wants to assure his fans that this isn’t what he’s about. In his new video, the former reality TV star warned fans that people are pretending to be him on Instagram. He informed his fans not to get ripped off by these unscrupulous scammers. There are a couple of things fans can do to verify the authenticity of whoever is messaging them as Matt.
Matt Brown Says He Won’t Ask for Money
Fans of Matt Brown can look at the account name of someone they think may be a poser. The real Matt Brown, on Instagram, is @mattbrown511. Any other designator but that is an imposter. Check the account of the person sending the direct message. Matt’s page will have years’ worth of video clips of him talking to followers. If the page is missing these numerous clips, you can know it’s not him.
But wait! There’s more! Not only should fans look at the account of a suspected imposter, but the Alaskan bush People veteran had more to say. The farmer wants to inform his fans that he would never ask them for money and that doing so would go against everything he stands for.
It probably goes without saying that this stipulation doesn’t include him asking for money that he’s owed, as he had to do this when he claimed to have not been paid for his last few appearances on ABP.
