Jinger Duggar’s Parents Remain Silent in the Run-up To Her Memoir’s Release

The Duggars spoilers, news, and updates tease that Jinger Duggar’s parents remain silent as their daughter gears up for the release of her new book. Jim Bob and Michelle have not yet commented on the upcoming launch of Jinger’s book titled, Becoming Free Indeed.

The memoir details Jinger’s experience while growing up in a strict home, which she described as terrifying. The book is scheduled to be released on January 31. But fans are already asking what her parents’ reactions are.

Jinger’s Fear Of Not Wearing Dresses

Fans know that Jinger and her siblings grew up following a strict belief system.

“I thought I had to wear only skirts and dresses to please God. Music with drums, places I went, or the wrong friendships could all bring harm,” she said in an interview with People.

Before, she had to wear skirts and dresses only because pants were only for men. It was only after she got married that she started to wear pants.

Not only that, Jinger shared that she was terrified of doing almost everything because she was scared that her actions might displease God.

“I thought I could be killed in a car accident on the way because I didn’t know if God wanted me to stay home and read my Bible instead,” she added.

Jinger Says She Grew In Fear

Jinger noted that fear was a big part of her childhood. She suffered from anxiety because of it and she was scared about the outside world.

She explained that her parent’s beliefs were “based on fear and superstition and leave you in a place where you feel like, ‘I don’t know what God expects of me.’”

Jinger said that their beliefs were harmful and damaging and have effects that would last a lifetime.

However, Jinger said that the hardships she went through in the past made writing the book even better. She wants to share her story through this book and hopes that it will encourage people to break free.

She added that writing the memoir is the hardest thing she’s ever done in her life. She teased that the book is about her spiritual journey. She’ll be sharing her life and the stories that fans never got to see while the TV cameras were recording. She promises her memoir to inspire other people and seek the freedom which everyone deserves.
