My 600-Lb Life spoilers reveal that fans are looking forward to seeing what happened to Maria McCants after her season of the show. She turned to Dr. Now for his help when she got up to 800 pounds. She knew that her health was in jeopardy, but wasn’t going to let her weight stop her from accomplishing her goals. In fact, she weighed so much that she couldn’t even stand up or walk around her home. This was her rock bottom.
Where Is Marla Now?
Marla had completely turned to her children for help getting around the house. She spent most of her days in bed and it really hurt her children to see her this way. She began to overeat due to some trauma that she had to deal with in her life. As soon as she went to see Dr. Now, he was very worried that she was close to dying.
In fact, he told the cameras that he wasn’t sure she would “survive the next 24 hours.” He added that she was “in the worst condition” of anyone he had ever seen in his office. This hit hard and Marla just knew that she had to get the weight off.
She was able to work hard and get the weight off and she really did surprise viewers and Dr. Now. She ended up having gastric bypass surgery and she lost 532 pounds by the time her episode aired! Dr. Now had never seen anyone get so motivated and so quickly. He was so proud of her and so were her friends, family, and fans.
What Happened to Marla?
Marla is great about updating her followers on social media. In fact, she has now become a motivational speaker about living a healthier lifestyle. In her pictures, she is always smiling and has been so positive ever since her time with Dr. Now. She looks fantastic these days and her fans applaud her on a regular basis. One fan wrote to her, “You look amazing! I’m so proud of you and the journey you’ve endured and the strength you have to overcome any obstacle!” One more added, “I just watched your episode for the first time! Great jo! I am so proud of you! You are beautiful!”
From the looks of it, Marla is doing very well and continues to lose weight. She has set a great example for those like her that feel they have nothing else left. Once again, Dr. Now saves another patient.
